Further, much of the software is free, whereas to not play Sudoku online, but just on a Mac or PC often means paying an outrageous price for what could otherwise be obtained for free.

Not only are the unnecessary costs a reason to explore online Sudoku, but also the frills add to the game. Such frills include blogs discussing playing strategies between online players, tournaments between players, and even little things like music or art behind the sudoku chart to enhance the play. On whole, this is a trend that may see little end anytime soon.
